The corner post in a fence is the most important part. It must be set deep in the soil to maintain the integrity of the rest of the fence(s). The corner post is also where outlying fields meet. These fields being science, emotion, environment, agriculture, wildlife, and livestock.
This is my maiden voyage into blogging. I created this site to reflect on the agricultural community and negate some of the misconstrued information on the world wide web, mass media, and lobbying organizations. I wanted to become an advocate for the industry that feeds the nation.
Congratulations chickabee on taking a stand!! I am VERY PROUD of the strong woman that you have become!!! How quickly people have forgotten their roots....I salute women in business....the brave men and women who keep us free and the farmer and rancher that feeds us!!!!

DANGER new antibiotic
Here is an email I received this AM, passed on by a vet tech friend:
SOS to all horse owners.
I lost my noble friend, XEROX, my grey 16year old mare this weekend. She had a healing face wound, and had been getting SMZs orally as an antibiotic. My vet suggested an injectable antibiotic that would be administered every 4 days. After her 2nd injection, she stopped eating, 2days later had severe diarrhea, and died with acid reflux bloody mouth. VERY SAD. My vet researched the drug after she died.
According to W.S.U this drug is causing diarrhea and acid reflux in horses. Although it has been around in the dairy industry for years but only "pushed on horses for a couple of months."
it is: EXCEDE, manufactured by Pfizer . pass it on.
Linda sent me over here also. I'm looking forward to reading your take on things ag.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with this. It would be nice to see some balance in the world for a change.
